Principal
Julia is currently working full-time at VMware, Inc. as the Site Director and Senior Director of R&D in VMware's new Cambridge, MA office. Julia has over 17 years of cross-industry management experience in the IT and Engineering space. She is a seasoned manager with a successful track record for delivering software products, implementing enterprise applications and managing network services and infrastructure operations. Julia has extensive experience managing highly productive teams in both mature and start-up organizations in many industries. Approach
Julia's no-nonsense business approach focuses on immediately identifying critical success factors and key deliverables as well as to develop time and budget plans that work within a company's available resources. She is an efficient project manager that has a reputation for building strong relationships across all levels of organizations as well as with clients, strategic partners and vendors. Julia's commitment to every client is to ensure that they will be fully prepared to manage what ever systems, resources or processes result from her engagements.
Qualifications
Julia received her BA from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her MS with honors in Management Information Systems from Boston University. She is the recipient of the BU Graduate School of Management's Professional Achievement Award and continues to be an active alumnus and supporter of the MS/MIS Internship program. She also is a contributor to several business and technology publications.
Community Service
Since 2004, Julia has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Bay Farm Montessori Academy, a non-profit private independent school. She is an officer of the executive committee, serving as Clerk, and also serves on this Board's Finance and Trusteeship committees. Julia was appointed by Selectmen as a member of the Town of Duxbury's Alternative Energy Committee in 2006. Julia is also an active contributor of technology services for the Duxbury Art Association.
